Georg Hofmann
Georg Hofmann was born 1961. He has studied with Pierre Favre. His
main
activities today are the American/Swiss trio Carr-Nord-Hofmann, freelance
work, composing and teaching. Besides his playing in the jazz and
improvised music field, Georg Hofmann has composed for theater productions
and fashion shows as well as working for film and dance. He is also an
experienced interprete of new classical music. His influences range from
Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis and John Coltrane to African, Latin
and Asian music. His freelance work includes concerts with Charles Gayle,
Steve Gorn, Robert Dick, Jiri Stivin, Pierre Favre, Christoph Baumann, Hans
Koch, Vinz Vonlanthen, Lucas Niggli, Nat Su, Rätus Flisch, Gene Coleman,
Herbie Kopf among others. He is teaching drums, percussion and general
rhythm at different institutions in Zürich and at Columbia University, New
York. His tours include concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland,
USA and Mexico.

Hermann
Bühler
Composer and musician Hermann Bühler, born 1962, currently lives in Zürich,
Switzerland. Main interests are in Improvisational Music, Jazz, Indian
and
Persian Music, New Classical Music and Music Aesthetic. His education
covers studies in musicology (Ernst Lichtenhahn) and composition (Frederic
Rzwesky, Antony Braxton), as well as instrumental studies (Urs Leimgruber,
Evan Parker).
Hermann Bühler's work includes composition and instrumental improvisation.
He is continously performing his music on tour in USA, Mexico, Italy,
Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Hermann Bühler is leading his own
Music
Edition "Dreamscape Music" and is also teaching lessons for
saxophon,
clarinet and music theorie. Residences in Los Angeles, San Francisco and
New York.
