Hermann Bühler, born 1962 in Näfels GL, lives in Zurich.
He works as a composer, instrumentalist, teacher and musicologist.
In the group Shasimosa Tütü he searched for a free expression
on the alto- and soprano saxophone. He wrote music for varying settings
like Lange Weile, Injured Gardens, Earth Bound, Seven Pieces and Kind.
In this compositions he dealed with various tone scales, Jazz styles,
improvisational concepts and electronics. With the group Sojourn he
also explored profoundly Indian music on clarinet. Buhler's music
can be heard on several CDs like Alto solo, Earth Bound and Lotus
Mind. He was decisively participating in the publishing of the book
Your own Voice and the CD WIM-Radiodays. Recently Hermann Bühler
is working in Switzerland, Mexico and USA on the video dance production
Muros, the perfomance 404 - Directions and his Music & Art Edition
